Who We Are

Mission: To eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen communities.

The YWCA is the oldest and largest multicultural women’s organization in the world, with more than 25 million members in 122 countries, including 2 million members in 300 local Associations in the United States. Across continents and cultures, we are united by our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.

Each year, the YWCA of Great Falls is responsible for providing low-cost or free classes, clothing and skills development workshops and free networks of support for victims of abuse who seek to move forward with their lives. Together with the Mercy Home, our affiliated shelter for abused women, we are the voice at the other end of the crisis line and the arms that welcome women who have nowhere else to turn, as we have done for nearly a century.

What We Do

The YWCA of Great Falls seeks to advance the quality of life for women of all ages, races, and faiths, and their families. In support of our mission, the YWCA of Great Falls provides services to meet critical needs, promote self-sufficiency, reduce violence, and achieve equal opportunities for all people.
