YWCA need volunteers to help keep the center clean for everyone inside. They'll be helping to clean windows, carpets, and bathrooms. We have the tools, but not the people power. The ideal volunteer is friendly and hard working! Volunteers need to be able to bend down and pick items off the ground and lift up to 20 pounds. You'll be serving in the YWCA offices. The YWCA GF is open 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Work should be done during those times if possible.
We are an agency that serves some of the poorest individuals and families in our community. We are also a meeting place for trainings, and activities. We use every inch of our building for something and are constantly improving it. A person to assist us in regular upkeep would be a huge help.
