Join Easterseals-Goodwill in their local efforts to serve those with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other neurological impairments and enrich their lives. Volunteers are crucial to helping Easterseals-Goodwill serve as many people as possible. They need volunteers to help with transporting clients to and from their homes and occasionally taking them to recreational events so that they can remain active and social.
Interested volunteers must have a valid Montana driver’s license, a good driving record, and be able to pass a background check. Additionally, volunteers should be able to push or pull up to 100 pounds to move wheelchairs; help clients in and out of vehicles; and enjoy visiting and conversing with individuals that have Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other neurological impairments, as well as physical and mental impairments.
Volunteers are needed Monday to Friday, typically from 9-10:30 a.m. and from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Easterseals-Goodwill will train all volunteers and supervise until the volunteer is comfortable with their route and the clients. Easterseals-Goodwill asks volunteers to commit to at least six months to a year of service. Dress code is casual, but no clothing with drug references, alcohol logos, or improper language will be allowed.
