We're looking for volunteers to help create a vibrant, active space downtown during the annual sidewalk sale.
As part of the Building Active Communities Initiative, Get Fit Great Falls is staging a demonstration project to show local residents what an active space can look like.
On July 30, there will be music, games, art installations, child yoga and other activities for families to enjoy in the Davidson Plaza, 300 Central Ave. The initiative team is adding temporary grass, trees, plants, benches and other elements to make the space more people friendly.
Volunteers are needed from 7-9 a.m. to help set up and 8-9:30 p.m. to clean up the space. Throughout the day, volunteers will also be surveying people using the space and encouraging them to leave ideas for how to create active and people-centric spaces in Great Falls.
