To encourage kids to stay active this summer, Get Fit Great Falls has launched Park Pals, a new program aimed at bringing kids out to five city parks. Park Pals runs every Monday through Friday, offering activities in science and art and physical exercise.
While most shifts are covered, volunteers are needed on July 12th, from 9:30 AM to about 3:00PM each day to lead activities with the children. On the 12th, the volunteer (paired with an intern) will start at 9:45 AM at Gibson Park and will travel to the other four parks throughout the day. They will help kids with a craft and then physical activity. Volunteers will have a half an hour lunch break. The activities are pre-planned, and volunteers only need to bring a smile and good attitude.
