This volunteer project will assist the community in recognizing and honoring the National Red Ribbon Week. By decorating the community in Red Ribbons it allows and reminds people to spark up responsible conversations around drug and alcohol use and abuse and the difference between the two. The importance of keeping our communities and children drug free!

Volunteers will decorate the Civic Center Columns, outside stair rails, civic center grounds, Central Avenue, and any other approved areas within this area on Thursday, October 20, 2016. We will be meeting at the Civic Center at 9AM that morning and volunteers do not need to bring anything. Volunteers must have the ability to be to make/tie large ribbons, be able to lift up to 5lbs, walk at least 5 blocks or more, and be able to work in potentially cooler temperatures.

Volunteers will also be helping take decorations down at the end of the week no later than November 2nd. Estimated time for each part of the project is 2 1/2 hours.
