Mission: To recruit, train, and support court-appointed volunteer advocates who assist the courts to protect the rights and best interests of local children, so every child who has experienced abuse or neglect can be safe, have a permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive.
Every day a child is hurt by the very person who is supposed to protect her – her parent. Then she is taken from the only home she has ever known, good or bad.
Now picture the courtroom. Unless a volunteer guardian ad litem is available, the only person without an attorney, without some representation, without a voice, is the child.
Invest in our community by investing in our children – become a guardian ad litem and you will truly make a difference that can be counted in this generation as well as future generations.
No experience necessary. Training provided 3 times a year. Call for more information about how you can effect positive change!
CASA-CAN knows that community volunteers make an impact on the lives of children who have been abused or neglected. CASA trains volunteers to become child advocates and Officers of the Court charged with investigating the circumstances of a case, ensuring that the children are safe and are in a permanent home as quickly as possible. CASA-CAN is the only program of its kind in our community.
