Who We Are

Mission: To provide free part time child care to qualifying families for young children who have special needs.

Our goal is provide families with a few hours of free time to relax or run errands without having to worry about the safety of their child. Care is available EVERY morning, Monday – Friday from 9:00am-12:30pm. Additionally we offer occasional ‘Evening Out’ care typically the 1st Friday and 2nd Saturday of the month.8We don’t do structured lesson plans at Peace Place… we just like to have fun and be safe while doing so! We have all sorts of fun toys and equipment for a variety of ages and stages.

What We Do

Peace Place was created in 2011 by two moms who understood firsthand the need, rarity, and benefit of respite care. Peace Place Respite Care is a ministry of First Presbyterian Church, and is housed in the East wing of the church, facing 14th St. and the Paris Gibson Art Museum. The space was graciously donated by the church, and volunteers donated labor and time to turn it into a kid-friendly space. In addition to the room upstairs, Peace Place also has access to the preschool rooms in the basement, including a large gym as well as an indoor playscape. We are licensed by the state of Montana and staffed by wonderful caregivers who are certified in First Aid, CPR, AED usage, and Safe Sleep practices.
