Who We Are
Mission: To help homeless children and their families achieve sustainable independence.
Family Promise is an interfaith program that provides shelter, meals, and comprehensive support services to children and their families who are facing homelessness. Family Promise of Great Falls started hosting guests in January 2015.
There are Family Promise affiliates operating in Billings, Bozeman, Missoula, and Helena, Montana. Many faith communities are participating in this program in each city. Family Promise affiliates are nonsectarian. All clients are welcome. Volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and represent nearly every faith in the United States.
What We Do
- Day Center: Our Day Center provides a meeting space for families with children, when needed. The Day Center also provides a place for families to wash laundry, shower, and cook a meal. Day Center privileges are for families currently approved for our services.
- Transportation: Family Promise provides a van for transporting guests to the St. Vincent de Paul food bank weekly to acquire groceries. Arrangements can be made for transportation to and from various appointments with proper notice.
Volunteers: Volunteers are the heart of the Program; without them, it cannot exist. Volunteers provide a variety of services: cooking and planning meals, assistance with special events, administrative assistance, and cleanup projects throughout the year. Volunteers interact with the guests, treating them with respect and responding with compassion.
