Who We Are

Mission: To serve the community by preserving our historical edifice while promoting spiritual, academic, and cultural enrichment.

The cornerstone of Ursuline Centre was laid September of 1911. A little over one year later, on September 3, 1912, Ursuline Academy opened its door to students from Great Falls and the surrounding area. Our City’s founding forefathers donated land and supported the Sisters efforts to bring educational opportunities to our community. Today, this legacy continues. We are a non-profit organization that benefits the city of Great Falls and beyond. 263 groups utilized our historic building last year for meetings, retreats and conferences. Over 14,000 people benefited from Ursuline Centre “opening doors to change lives.” We also house a museum and archives that allow access to Montana heritage and culture and operate successful preschool and childcare programs.

What We Do

At the Ursuline Centre, we’re firmly dedicated to preserving and promoting the history, culture, and spirituality of the Ursuline Sisters through education and charitable services. Our primary focus lies in nurturing a broad understanding and appreciation of the significance and values of the Ursuline Sisters. We provide a community space that plays host to cultural, educational, and spiritual activities and offer a museum featuring the Ursuline history. Through our efforts, we aim to encourage and foster personal growth, creativity, as well as spiritual enlightenment.
