Who We Are
Mission: To connect people who want to help with nonprofits that are making Cascade County a better place.
United Way of Cascade County raises more than $1 million and distributes that money to 20 nonprofits that are working toward three goals — improving education, helping people become financially stable and making our community a healthier place.
What We Do
Though our organization has had different names over the decades, the idea of a community chest dates back to the 1920s. We officially became United Way in 1974. United Way of Cascade County’s mission is to build the whole community. We believe when a child succeeds in school, when a neighborhood improves, when families have good health and workers solid jobs — we all win.
