Volunteer: Laundry Attendant

Volunteer Position: Folding Laundry
Volunteer Reports to: Foundation Assistant

SUMMARY
The Laundry volunteer will perform several tasks including loading the washer and dryer with soiled linen, checking for stains, and using necessary cleaning supplies (provided) as needed, folding and putting away laundry in its designated areas, and other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director. This position helps to extend the resources in the Great Falls Clinic Legacy Foundation to better assist and address the needs of our patients at the Harold & Carmen Poulsen Legacy Housing.

LOCATION OF OPPORTUNITY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Loading washer and dryer with laundry Checking for stains or damage and treating areas Notifying the Foundation Assistant when an item needs replaced Folding laundry Putting away laundry in its designated areas Maintaining and organized and clean laundry room Notifying the Foundation Assistant when laundry cleaning supplies is running low Other tasks or duties relative to the position

REQUIREMENTS

Must be dependable and punctual Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented Respect and maintain confidentiality of patients, staff, donors, and partners

TIME COMMITMENT

Mondays and Thursdays, 2-3 hours depending on facility laundry needs Additional days may be available No weekends or holidays

TRAINING & SUPERVISION
Complete orientation (.5-1 hours) to include training on the following items:

Location or housekeeping supplies and laundry rooms Linen closet organization and linens Washer and dryer use

Training and supervision conducted by: Foundation Assistant

EVALUATION
All volunteers complete a 60-day evaluation by: Foundation Assistant

Volunteer Reports to: Foundation Assistant

SUMMARY
The Minor Cleaning and Organization volunteer will perform a variety of tasks to include cleaning and organizing common spaces, including dining room, common kitchen, gathering areas, and more. To ensure these areas are stocked with appropriate amenities such as paper towels, tissues, coffee cups and more. This position would also include organizing areas such as the linen closest, cupboards, offices spaces and other tasks as assigned by the Foundation Assistant. This position helps to extend the resources in the Great Falls Clinic Legacy Foundation to better assist and address the needs of our patients at the Harold & Carmen Poulsen Legacy Housing.

Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner Must be dependable and punctual Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented Respect and maintain confidentiality of patients, staff, donors, and partners Availability to bring and use volunteers own gardening equipment if possible.

TIME COMMITMENT

One day per week for approximately 1-2 hours Can be a day of the volunteer’s choosing No weekends or holidays
