The St. Vincent de Paul food pantry serves the poor in assisting them with food and general items of necessity. The food pantry distributes an average of 28,000 pounds of food to an average of 600 families each month. Volunteers are needed to help sort and clean donations and serve clients who come into the food pantry. They play a critical role in keeping the food pantry staffed and open and serving clients.

Volunteers have a variety of shifts available with the food pantry operating from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Volunteers will be trained for their tasks and have supervision on-site. Those interested need to be able to lift 5 lbs, stand for extended periods of time and have compassion for those in need of services. The dress code is clean and casual with jeans being fine though no open toed shoes.

Meals on Wheels is seeking new long-term volunteers interested in serving at Meals on Wheels. Their program delivers hundreds of meals weekly to homebound residents of Cascade County, making it possible for them to remain in their homes safely. 

Kitchen volunteers start serving at 8:30 a.m. The shift is two hours, during which food is prepared and packaged into coolers. Volunteers need to be able to move around and stay on their feet for two hours. Driving volunteers begin at 10-10:30 a.m. and make deliveries along preplanned routes. These volunteers will take the coolers to the homes and deliver meals to the residents. Volunteers also serve a brief wellness check for the residents, having a quick visit with them before moving on to the next location. You can serve one or multiple days a week based on your schedule.

The Rescue Mission is seeking volunteers to work with children ages 0 to 5 while their parents are attending classes. Volunteers provide a safe environment filled with love and respect for the children. You will monitor the children and assist them with homework, snack time, and bible study.

In order to volunteer, you must be able to pass a background check, fill out an application, and attend orientation. You will be serving at the Cameron Family Center. There are a variety of shifts available. Volunteers in the youth department will be supervised. The dress code is casual but youth appropriate clothing.

Great Falls Rescue Mission is a non-profit Christian organization committed to serving the hungry, hurting and homeless in North Central Montana. Essentially, we are a haven for those who have become homeless due to a variety of factors. We provide basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, etc.), assistance in recovering from addictions, and resources to help individuals spiritually, mentally and physically. We can house up to 300 men, women, and children between three shelters, and we serve free meals to the public each day at 12:15 pm and 6:15 pm.

Grace Home Veterans Center, a program of St. Vincent DePaul of North Central Montana, is committed to providing housing, employment and general assistance to U.S. Veterans in need. Service is provided without regard to religion, race or national origin.

Volunteers are needed to serve in the Grace Home office. They will help with various tasks such as answering phone calls, office correspondence, and filing. Volunteers need to be able to use a computer, answer the phone and have basic office skills. They need to have compassion for those in need. Shifts will be served at Grace Home at 2211 5th Ave. North and volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers will receive training and orientation and will be supervised. The dress code is clean and casual with jeans being fine though no open toed shoes.

Join St. Vincent de Paul in providing support to the most vulnerable in our community. Volunteers are needed to help at the Homeless Drop-in center and with Homeless outreach. Volunteers can serve at the center and assist with weekly delivery of meals to the homeless in the community.

All volunteers will receive extensive training to prepare them for their position. Any interested volunteers must be at least 21 years old.

The St. Vincent de Paul food pantry is working hard to meet the needs of the community and needs volunteers to help them!

They have a need for drivers to drop off food boxes, drivers to pick up food, and assistance in warehouse and food processing on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 

They also have a need for people who can cook in their donated commercial kitchen to make grab-and-go lunches for the homeless.

The Backpack4Kids Program provides take-home meals for underprivileged children, grades K-6, in all Cascade County elementary schools. Volunteers help prepare food items for the backpacks throughout the week for kids in schools to receive before weekends or breaks in school. This is a year round opportunity.

There are no specific qualifications to volunteer with the food bank. They prefer volunteers to be above the age of 10 with some exceptions. The Food Bank is open from 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday so volunteers must be able to work within open hours. Volunteers can volunteer as little or as much as they want to based on what is available and needed. Volunteers can come in one time or they can set up regular days and times.

The Day Center (also known as the HUB) Volunteer's primary responsibility is to be present and available to guests.  The volunteer should be willing to offer advice, mentoring, job search assistance, and childcare assistance to the families visiting the Day Center.  The volunteer is responsible for helping with snack and light meal preparation for families while they are working on their stability plan. The volunteer may assist families with their laundry, childcare, and other activities that the family chooses to complete while at the Day Center.  Families share the responsibility for keeping the area clean however it is the volunteer's responsibility to ensure that the space stays clean, orderly, and inviting to everyone.  Also, it is the volunteer's responsibility to ensure that that families abide Family Promise's rules for staying at the Day Center.

Help Family Promise serve local homeless families as a shuttle driver! Volunteers will drive the Center's 9 passenger shuttle van in order to get families to appointments and school. You should have a good driving record and good skills as well as a desire to help families in need. Volunteer will serve out of the Family Promise Day Center Hub on a schedule between Mondays and Fridays that will be decided by you and the staff. You determine the length of commitment.

Many families who are with Family Promise do not have transportation and volunteers will serve a vital task in helping them get around town.

YWCA Great Falls is in need of a maintenance volunteer. Ideally, we need a volunteer who can come by once a week to check in.  The position will be very flexible and time served is based on current repair needs. The current need is indefinite, and your length of commitment can be discussed.

We are looking for a volunteer with general knowledge of maintenance work and how to use tools. The position does require that the volunteer pass a background check as no violent offenders are allowed. Volunteer will help with lots of tasks such as hanging pictures, replacing ceiling tiles, repairing door knobs, painting, etc. We have a very old building that needs lots of constant attention to keep us serving the over 4,000 people we serve each year.  We also have women and children from our other programs that shop there, and confidentiality is very important. In order to perform their duties, the volunteers should be able to climb a ladder and be able to lift at least 30 lbs. Clean and appropriate clothing required.

A maintenance volunteer will have a tremendous impact on the YWCA. YWCA need volunteers to help keep the center clean for everyone inside. They'll be helping to clean windows, carpets, and bathrooms. We have the tools, but not the people power. The ideal volunteer is friendly and hard working! Volunteers need to be able to bend down and pick items off the ground and lift up to 20 pounds. You'll be serving in the YWCA offices. The YWCA GF is open 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Work should be done during those times if possible.

We are an agency that serves some of the poorest individuals and families in our community. We are also a meeting place for trainings, and activities. We use every inch of our building for something and are constantly improving it. A person to assist us in regular upkeep would be a huge help.

Do you want to be part of giving local youth a safe place and the resources they need to make good choices? If so, become a volunteer with the Alliance for Youth Resource Center. There are a variety of tasks volunteers could be asked to assist with, to include: screening youth to gain entrance to YRC; helping students with tutoring and homework assignments; serving dinner and clean-up; disinfecting the YRC at the end of the day; transporting youth after school to the center; and other jobs.

Potential volunteers must love children, teenagers, and young adults. Prior personal or professional experience working with youth is desired but not required. Volunteers must pass a background check and complete an orientation and interview process before being placed. There will also be training opportunities throughout the year. The volunteers will be serving in the basement, so being able to climb one set of stairs needed to access YRC is a must.

The volunteer will be serving shifts Monday - Friday between the hours of 1 p.m. and7 p.m. and earlier hours for summer. The schedule is flexible, and staff will work with you on when you serve. They are looking for a one-year commitment for long-term volunteers, but event volunteers are usually the day before and the day of the event. Great Falls Montana Tourism is looking for volunteers to share their passion for our community with the guests to Great Falls! Volunteers will welcome guests to Great Falls, Montana, and share information on the falls, the local dams, trails, state parks, museums, environmental art, city parks, and recommend dining options. In addition to helping guests, volunteers will help with brochure inventory, answer the phone, research information, prepare conference bags, and prepare check requests. Docents work at the front desk and in the exhibit area. Front desk docents give introductions for scheduled groups and work at the front desk providing visitor information. Exhibit hall docents greet visitors in the exhibit spaces and provide information in response to visitor requests.

Serving as a docent requires special training at the Center, as well as knowledge of the local area. These are primary public contact positions – volunteers will be meeting and greeting visitors throughout their shift. Volunteers will have a full orientation to the Interpretive Center before getting started. Become a part of the Commodities team at St. Vincent de Paul and help distribute food to seniors in our community! You’ll get some exercise and have a chance to chat with your fellow volunteers as you prepare boxes of food for pickup each month. Over 300 local clients are served by the program, but they need your help to make this possible.

Volunteers will serve on-site packing totes, cleaning up the workspace (e.g., breaking down boxes), and/or helping clients pick up their food in the St. Vincent Food Bank. Packing food totes requires some lifting of boxes and transferring goods from larger boxes to individual totes. Volunteers have flexible schedule options Wednesday to Friday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Volunteers are needed around the 20th of each month after deliveries arrive.

The Maclean Animal Adoption Center is seeking volunteers to work in the Center office. This is a great chance to help out the Center even if you aren't the best with animals.

The Maclean Animal Adoption Center is seeking volunteers to help with the care and socialization of its animal guests. The goal is to provide adoptable cats with exercise, human contact, and mental stimulation.

Brushing- Our cats need daily stimulation and brushing. Pet and groom cats in their kennel or in the cat visiting room. Brushes are provided.

Enrichment- Our cats can become bored. Giving them new toys or making treat enrichment items for them is a great way to get them thinking and moving around. Toys and supplies are provided.

Schedule: 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday. Schedule will be divided into openings of 10:00AM-12:15, 12:30-3:00, and 3:15-6:00PM. Each opening will have 4 slots available- 2 slots for Cat Volunteers and 2 slots for Dog Volunteers. (We can no longer accommodate more than 4 volunteers at any one time)

Volunteer at the ReStore located at 401 3rd Ave South in Great Falls working with our team to take in, prepare, and sell donated items.  Volunteer schedules are flexible with the store being open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.  A short briefing and tour is offered daily at 10 a.m. Come when you're able; stay as long as you can. Volunteers must be age 16 and up, and have on long pants and closed-toed shoes.

Are you wanting to make a difference in the lives of a local family? Do you want to gain some experience in construction or put your knowledge to use? If the answer to either of these questions is yes then consider joining Habitat for Humanity today in building homes for local families!

Volunteers will be assisting in the construction of Habitat Homes to provide safe, decent and affordable housing for low income working families in our community. Some knowledge of construction is good for interested volunteers, but we are willing to train. Volunteers will serve weekly on build sites which will vary by location. You must be able to walk on uneven ground safely, but volunteers from all walks of life and ability levels are welcome. Anyone serving needs to wear long pants, closed shoes and gloves and follow safety rules.

Volunteering with Habitat also teaches different skill sets, meet new people all while improving the life of others.

Toy sanitizers keep young children safe by wiping down Kids’ Place toys and surfaces with Triad 3 disinfectant and disposable rags. They may also be asked to wipe down toys on the Toddler Time cart. If so, staff will bring the cart to the Kathy’s Corner Play Area for them.

Training: Toy sanitizers will be briefly shown what needs to be done and where supplies are located.

Conditions of work: After initial instructions, toy sanitizers typically work independently. Flexible schedule, shifts are about half an hour long. See Rae or Chelsea to schedule a routine weekly shift that fits your schedule.

Accessibility: Toy disinfection can be done while seated. It may require less hand strength than program prep tasks. Although the disinfectant is mild, volunteers with sensitive skin may prefer to wear gloves (provided).

Do you want to learn what it takes to maintain hiking trails?  Do you want to gain experience with hand tools or put your knowledge to use?  Do you want to help your community while working on the scenic Missouri Shoreline?  If you answered yes to any of these questions you should consider working with Giant Springs State Park as a Trail Maintenance Steward!

The Trail Maintenance Steward assist park staff in helping to maintain the more than 30 miles of trails around the park.  This will include projects including yucca removal, tread maintenance, rock removal, and more.   Some trail work experience is helpful but not necessary, there will be training on the methods used for this position.  Tools will be provided by the park, and can be checked out from the Giant Springs Ranger Station. This is a time flexible position. Stewards are expected to volunteer once a month, and can schedule their own hours.  The Ranger Station is open from 8 AM to 4:30 to check out tools.

Help keep the YWCA yard is great shape! Mowing, raking, weeding, and planting are all skills we could use. We have the tools, but not the people power. We're looking for volunteers with friendly manners who are good with tools and basic gardening. We want someone who will commit to serving for at least one month. Volunteer should be able to bend over and lift at least 20 pounds.

YWCA is seeking volunteers to help out in the Y Buy's store! Volunteers are key to keeping the store running and open to low-income women and their families. The volunteer will help process donations (steam, fold, hang and merchandise); assist customers as they shop; finalize sales including handling money (checks, cash and credit cards).  Volunteers should enjoy working with the public and be sensitive to the needs of low-income families. Previous customer service experience is helpful and volunteer must be comfortable handling money. Be advised that the position involves standing and moving around. We are always looking for friendly people to assist in serving our clients that shop in our store. We also have women and children from our other programs that shop there, and confidentiality is very important. A thorough training will be provided 

It takes many people to coordinate and work at our events.  Our signature events are Salute to Women, Empty Bowls, and the Rankin Run. We also have Grinch Pictures, Community Juneteenth Celebration, and other fundraisers at different times. Racial Justice is another priority of ours. We are We are always looking for volunteers to be on our committees.

SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, is dedicated to helping small businesses or nonprofits get off the ground, grow, and achieve their goals. Since 1964, they have provided education and mentorship to more than 11 million entrepreneurs across the United States.

Locally, SCORE has been active for several years; however, the Chamber wants to revitalize it by bringing on interested volunteer mentors, administrative help, or subject matter experts.

Several volunteer positions are available to include administrative, and you set your volunteer time. To be a SCORE mentor, you need to join SCORE, take a short ethics training, and commit to mentoring your mentee. If you are a subject matter expert (marketing, legal, etc.), there are also opportunities for you to put on workshops for up-and-coming business owners or nonprofits. The total time commitment is about 3-5 hours a month and can be done remotely or in person.

Join the Salvation Army in providing care and support to low income children that need help with reading and their homework. Volunteers will need to pass a background check and complete child safety training before serving. Volunteers will assist children with reading and homework, supervise activities, prepare snacks and attend outings. Staff will be on hand to supervise volunteers.

The program runs Mondays to Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. so there are a variety of days to choose from. There is no minimum or maximum commitment.

Volunteers are needed at Salvation Army to help pick up and receive food donations, stock food bank shelves and pack food boxes, assist clients with taking food to their cars. Potential volunteers must pass a background check. Anyone wishing to serve should be able to stand on concrete floors for extended periods, be able to bend some and do some lifting.

You can make sure that a child has enough to eat tonight. All you have to do is donate to the local school food pantries. These pantries provide children with food for over the weekends and, depending on their stock, other items such as toiletries. Studies show that fed children do better in school, and the pantries are one way to help feed hungry students. All you need to do to help is donate food and/or toiletries to a school pantry. Appointed by a local judge, CASA guardians ad litem advocate for children to be in a safe and permanent home as quickly as possible.

No experience required. CASA provides training. Volunteers provide the heart and compassion to help ensure Powerful Voices to speak on behalf of abused and neglected children in court. CASA-CAN volunteer guardians ad litem work to ensure that our children are safe and have a permanent home as quickly as possible.

Sunburst Unlimited, Inc., dba Gardens from Garbage, is a 501 3c non-profit that guides and educations our youth and community in developing sustainable food practices and encourages healthy eating highlighted by our Westside Orchard Garden. Our Westside Orchard Garden is a 2.2-acre plot where we grow, model and employ a variety of gardening methods, teach classes for adults, mentor kids raising their own vegetables, experiment with new and innovative methods for growing, and host seminars for groups.

Volunteers are highly encouraged at the garden. Opportunities range from helping kids to grow and harvest vegetables, helping out on garden picnic days or coming to the garden on weekends to help garden, pull weeds, extract honey or harvest vegetables. We also welcome whatever expertise skills you have, including marketing, website design, or graphic design to help our program grow.

Volunteers are always supervised out at the garden, so any hand on gardening skills can be taught. Since you may be working with kids, we cannot accept any volunteers at the garden with child endangerment charges. Please contact us if you have any questions.

The Maclean Animal Adoption Center is seeking volunteers to serve as custodial and maintenance assistants. This is a great chance to help out the Center even if you aren't the best with animals. Volunteers will help with cleaning the public areas including sweeping, mopping, dusting and windows. Light maintenance may include hanging bulletin boards, assembling items, mowing grass and shoveling snow.

Volunteers should be physically able to perform a wide range of tasks and able to lift 50 pounds and have knowledge of using cleaning materials and equipment safely. They will be volunteering at our Center before, after, and during our hours of operation, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. You will be trained and have staff available for questions. Closed-toe shoes, long sleeved shirts, and jeans or custodian work clothes are suggested.

The GFPD volunteers provide support for the police department in several capacities. They monitor inmate phone calls, assist facilitating the Citizens Academy program, patrol on foot, bikes, UTV, and in a dedicated patrol car, enforce the City’s abandoned vehicle ordinance, general office support, event support, and proactive high visible patrols.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, pass a background check, and have a valid driver’s license and driver’s history. The GFPD will provide training and most of the uniform. Volunteers are asked to commit to 4 hours per week for one year.

Serve with your local sheriff's office as a volunteer! The records office is seeking volunteers to help file reports, mark files for new offenders, scan reports into the database, convert old criminal files to a new format, and other office duties as time allows. Interested volunteers need to have basic computer skills, be able to alphabetize, and type. Volunteers must also complete a background check before beginning their duties, which the sheriff's office will oversee.

Volunteers will be serving at the main sheriff's office. Shifts are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays, and would prefer volunteers to establish a stable schedule. Staff will provide volunteers with training and be on hand to answer questions. Volunteers should be able to squat to reach lower shelves. The dress code is dress pants Monday to Thursday and jeans on Friday with no t-shirts or sweatshirts.

The Great Falls Senior Center is seeking volunteers for the following positions:

One doorkeeper from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday (one-five persons will be scheduled so we have one person each day.) 

Two volunteers per day for telephone reassurance and assistance volunteers (shift 1: 9 a.m. -Noon or shift Noon to 3 p.m.)  (looking for a number of people to do 1 day a week or 1-2 shifts a week.)

The volunteers need to be healthy and must keep our social distancing protocols.  Volunteers must wash hands very regularly. They will also help wash doors, chairs, phones, handles, etc after each use to help keep the center clean.

The mission of the Young Parents Education Center (YPEC) is to empower teenage and young adult pregnant and parenting students (ages 13-30) to pursue educational opportunities that lead to independence and self-sufficiency and to promote positive parenting enabling their babies to develop to their fullest potential. Serving Great Falls since 1969, YPEC has three components to meet the varying needs of pregnant and parenting students and their children: family support, parenting education, and quality childcare.

Volunteers are a large part of their program, and there are many ways that you can help and be a positive part of a student's life. Volunteers are needed in the childcare center helping with infants and toddlers. You can volunteer to be a guest speaker for their parents and students during group sessions. Volunteers may also serve as mentors, sharing their experiences and professional history with the students.

To volunteer in the childcare center, you must be current on immunizations and be able to pass a background check. You will be asked to sign a code of conduct. Volunteers at the childcare center serve at your leisure from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday. Group is held every Thursday from 9 a.m.-10 a.m., and speakers must schedule in advance.

Come and join the Pea Pods Community and learn more about gardening, healthy foods, and meet a lot of great people. About half the food grown is donated to the Grace Home or the Food Bank; the rest goes to the gardeners for their own tables.

Pea Pods gardens focus on developing neighborhood pride and tearing down barriers of a diverse neighborhood. The project provides educational opportunities on gardening, nutrition, and horticulture. By gardening together, neighbors create and build a healthier neighborhood. The effort has had a direct, positive effect on helping eliminate poverty; weed out crime; foster healthy nutritional habits, and encourage residents to be good stewards of the land.  A strong sense of community comes from the first garden, for all stakeholders — funders, volunteers, food recipients, and growers.

Pea Pods thrives because of the dedication of its volunteers. Volunteers come from a variety of experience and all are necessary. It takes all types to make a garden grow. No experience necessary just an opportunity to tap into your passion to assist others to grow nutritious food and experience the holistic benefits from gardening.  Many volunteers are needed for both summer and winter seasons. Interested volunteers should have the physical ability to do some light lifting, as to pull weeds and bag them; shovel mulch into a wheelbarrow, dump it out of the wheelbarrow and spread with rakes. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing for working outside and the weather of the day. Volunteer times need to be scheduled in advance so that the gate is open.

Join the Great Falls Pre-Release Center in helping people prepare for a new lease on life. The Great Falls Pre-Release Center is seeking volunteers to engage in helpful and appropriate interactions with felons returning to the community. This volunteer position will adhere to all the required Pre-Release rules which they will receive training on.

Some volunteers will do individual work with a resident as a mentor. This is always on a same-sex basis. The volunteers who serve as mentors may take their mentee outside the Pre-Release with proper approval to public venues.

Other volunteers work individually with residents on more specific issues, such as grief counseling, HiSET preparation, and reading and writing skills. These activities are conducted in the Pre-Release. Another volunteer opportunity is conducting classes on a variety of life skills such as cooking, crafts, yoga, healthy and mental health issues. Some volunteers run support groups for addressing addictions, trauma, and other challenges. Realistic, pro-social, and healthy events that help the residents gain confidence and coping skills, can become volunteer activities. 

Potential volunteers must be able to pass a criminal background check. The volunteers must be clear and sober from alcohol and drugs, and in stable mental condition. The ability to maintain healthy boundaries is very important. The volunteers must never have any inappropriate interactions with any residents as per PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act).  The volunteers must be able to follow directives and policies to ensure their safety. This includes the prohibition against any contraband or financial transactions. While not being too naive is essential, we are looking for people with a pleasant demeanor who are understanding, respectful, open-minded, have no alternative agenda, and have a genuine desire to help people transition successfully into the community. Volunteers must honor the confidentiality of the residents. Ability to work with a diverse population is a must, as is honoring the dignity and worth of each resident.

All volunteer activity is based out of the Great Falls Pre-Release. There are three campuses: Women's, East Campus Male and West Campus Male. The volunteer service times are very flexible and are worked around the schedule of the volunteer. All volunteers receive training and are under the supervision of Pre-Release staff. The dress code is business casual or smart casual, please no revealing clothing, flip flops or clothing with political logos, alcohol or drug logos or any logos that could be considered offensive.

The gift shop is a haven for people to escape, and the Great Falls Clinic Hospital is seeking fun, high energy volunteers to assist in the gift shop. The shop is beautiful; the pace is easy. We are a new gift shop, but we are popular and always full with just the right gifts cards, treats, and lovely floral arrangements. Duties: Assists in daily operations of the hospital shop, runs the register, opens and closes, pricing of merchandise, inventory, restocking of items, and maintains gift shop.

The ideal volunteer has good customer service skills, good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and good organizational skills, good telephone skills, mature, positive service-oriented individual. Previous experience in retail, customer service, and cash register use is preferred, but training will be provided. Volunteers will have supervision available for questions. The shop is open Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with shifts available. Dress code is professional casual.

Volunteering offers vital help to people in need, worthwhile causes, and the community. Volunteering for this position in helping others can help the volunteer to reduce stress, combat depression, keep mentally stimulated and provide a sense of purpose. Foster parents have the ability to give abused and neglected children a safe and stable home to start the healing process while their parents are working with Child & Family Services with the goal of reunification. Foster parents are called on to include the child in their case as a member of their family unit while giving recognition to the birth family’s rights.

Foster parents will work objectively with Child and Family Services Division of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services or other placing agencies to implement the particular plan for the child in their care. They must comply with all licensing or placement requirements and cooperate and support visitation with parents and siblings. Foster parents inform the child protection specialist about medical or behavioral problems, educational progress, and other matters regarding the child. They keep personal information regarding the child and birth family confidential. Foster parents help the child develop and understand the child’s cultural traditions, ethnic background, and religious beliefs. They parent according to the reasonable and prudent parenting standard.

Potential foster parents must complete application, pass a background check, complete all training, and successfully complete a SAFE Home Study. Training includes 8-hour Keeping Children Safe in person and 15 hours of CORE training online. Placement can be made once you are fully licensed. Once licensed, you may relicense each year as long as you would like to continue. Foster parents will be supervised by the Resource Family Specialist working with the family and the CPS worker. To be considered, you must be physically and mentally capable of caring for children.
