Description

Join us at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and celebrate the triumphs of the Corps of Discovery. We are looking for volunteers to help out at the front desk and serve as docents. Docents work at the front desk and in the exhibit area. Front desk docents give introductions for scheduled groups and work at the front desk providing visitor information. Exhibit hall docents greet visitors in the exhibit spaces and provide information in response to visitor requests.

Serving as a docent requires special training at the Center, as well as knowledge of the local area. These are primary public contact positions – volunteers will be meeting and greeting visitors throughout their shift. Volunteers will have a full orientation to the Interpretive Center before getting started. This is a great chance to learn more about local history, meet new people, and be part of local education opportunities.
