Volunteer Position: Minor Cleaning and Organization
Volunteer Reports to: Foundation Assistant
SUMMARY
The Minor Cleaning and Organization volunteer will perform a variety of tasks to include cleaning and organizing common spaces, including dining room, common kitchen, gathering areas, and more. To ensure these areas are stocked with appropriate amenities such as paper towels, tissues, coffee cups and more. This position would also include organizing areas such as the linen closest, cupboards, offices spaces and other tasks as assigned by the Foundation Assistant. This position helps to extend the resources in the Great Falls Clinic Legacy Foundation to better assist and address the needs of our patients at the Harold & Carmen Poulsen Legacy Housing.
LOCATION OF OPPORTUNITY
Harold & Carmen Poulsen Legacy Housing at 3004 15th Ave South, Great Falls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning common spaces to include wiping tables, sweeping floors, putting away dishes
- Stocking common spaces to include paper towels, tissues, and more
- Organizing common spaces and keeping a tidy area
- Other tasks or duties relative to the position
REQUIREMENTS
- Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public
- Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of patients, staff, donors, and partners
- Availability to bring and use volunteers own gardening equipment if possible.
TIME COMMITMENT
- One day per week for approximately 1-2 hours
- Can be a day of the volunteer’s choosing
- No weekends or holidays
TRAINING & SUPERVISION
Complete orientation (.5-1 hours) to include training on the following items:
- Overview facility common spaces
- Overview of areas needing attention
- Stocking and refilling information
Training and supervision conducted by: Foundation Assistant
EVALUATION
All volunteers complete a 60-day evaluation by: Foundation Assistant
