Volunteer: Kids’ Place toy sanitizerToy sanitizers keep young children safe by wiping down Kids’ Place toys and surfaces with Triad 3 disinfectant and disposable rags. They may also be asked to wipe down toys on the Toddler Time cart. If so, staff will bring the cart to the Kathy’s Corner Play Area for them.
Training: Toy sanitizers will be briefly shown what needs to be done and where supplies are located.
Conditions of work: After initial instructions, toy sanitizers typically work independently. Flexible schedule, shifts are about half an hour long. See Rae or Chelsea to schedule a routine weekly shift that fits your schedule.
Accessibility: Toy disinfection can be done while seated. It may require less hand strength than program prep tasks. Although the disinfectant is mild, volunteers with sensitive skin may prefer to wear gloves (provided).
To sign up or to get more information, contact Rae McFadden at rmcfadden@greatfallslibrary.org or (406) 453-0349, ext. 215.
