Volunteer: Stillwater Hospice Direct VolunteerHelp Stillwater Hospice serve local families in their homes by providing some relief services along with our nursing staff. Volunteers will provide patient companionship, respite for caregivers an family, help in patient's home or in a facility, assess patient and family needs in-person or via telephone, communicate with hospice team. Volunteers must follow confidentiality rules, must pass a background check and training before starting service. Volunteers needs to have transportation to and from our office and have a "heart for hospice." Volunteers will serve in patient homes and local facilities. ' Volunteers will serve on an ongoing basis Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and volunteer shifts can be set as you are available. Volunteers will receive 8 hours of training to prepare them for tasks and addition training as needed going forward. Staff will supervise and offer help as needed. The dress code for the position is casual professional. In this role, you will work directly with all hospice staff and with patients and their families to provide companionship and other support.
