Volunteer: Rake Leaves on Day of Caring for Those in Need! Many seniors and individuals with disabilities cannot perform basic lawn care, so United Way is asking you to help our neighbors! Simple tasks of raking leaves and grass cutting will be offered to help them ready their home for winter. Businesses, families, civic organizations, military personnel, student groups, and friends are encouraged to form teams to help. Teams can consist of three people or as many as you like! Volunteers are instructed not to enter homes even if requested. Please consider volunteering and helping to recruit a team of coworkers, students, family members, and friends to help with the Week of Caring. You can select the best day for you, and United Way will coordinate with the individuals receiving the services. We can also provide rakes and leaf bags if you need them. Don’t have a team, but would like to volunteer individually? We will organize individual volunteers into teams on Friday, Oct. 31! Everyone serving that day will be meeting up at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of Montana Federal Credit Union at 15 14th St S. There you will get supplies and be split up into smaller teams. If you are interested, please contact Jessica in the United Way office at 727-3400 (press 5) or email jbriggs@uwccmt.org. Thank you for volunteering! Volunteer: Volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club Carnival 2025!We are excited to announce our Halloween Carnival has continued to grow these past few years and we are looking for our community's involvement! The carnival includes games, candy, and prizes. Our carnival is special as it gives our club members a safe place to enjoy the holiday's festivities. We are asking businesses and organizations such as yours to partner with us for the carnival. There are a few different ways you can get involved, as detailed in the attached proposal form. We will need volunteers to run each carnival booth and activity stations. We can provide a booth game to your business or organization, or you are welcome to bring your own. You are welcome to dress up— we will be! Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to the community in a hands-on-way – you will love seeing the joy the carnival brings to the youth we serve.
