Who We Are
Mission: To provide the Great Falls community with fun family activities.
Great Falls Park & Recreation is dedicated to enhancing the health, beauty, and livability of our community. Since the city’s founding by Paris Gibson in 1883, parks and green spaces have been an essential part of Great Falls. Today, the Park & Recreation Department continues this legacy by maintaining a vibrant urban forest, diverse recreational facilities, and a variety of programs and events that enrich the lives of residents and visitors alike.
What We Do
Great Falls Park & Recreation provides a wide range of services and amenities, including:
- Parks and Facilities: Maintaining beautiful parks, flower gardens, tree-lined streets, and recreational facilities like swimming pools, golf courses, tennis courts, and the Riverside Rail Yard Skate Park.
- Activities and Programs: Offering youth and adult programs such as sports leagues, summer camps, swimming lessons, and golf instruction.
- Special Events: Hosting community favorites like the Ice Breaker Road Race, Easter Egg Hunt, Lions Family FunFest, and Electric City Winter Classic Youth Basketball Tournament.
- Community Livability: Preserving the urban forest and enhancing public spaces to promote fitness, relaxation, and community pride.
Through these efforts, we create opportunities for recreation, wellness, and connection, making Great Falls a vibrant and thriving community.
